A Bit About Me

My passion for food, nutrition, and helping others build better relationships with eating has been a driving force throughout my career. Before pursuing dietetics, I developed a strong foundation in food service while working as both a cook and server in assisted living communities and restaurants. These experiences deepened my appreciation for the role food plays in nourishment, connection, and overall well-being.

My commitment to this field was further shaped by my own experience working with a dietitian who introduced me to intuitive eating and a more compassionate, food-informed approach to wellness. That experience transformed the way I viewed nutrition and inspired my mission: to help individuals move beyond rigid food rules, reconnect with their bodies, and cultivate a sustainable, nourishing relationship with food.

In August 2022, I passed the national Registered Dietitian examination and became certified to practice in Wisconsin. Years later I got certified to practice in Minnesota with the ongoing goal to continue increasing areas of care. I earned my Bachelor's degree in Dietetics through the Coordinated Program at Mount Mary University. Today, I reside in Oconomowoc, Wisconsin, and I continue to work in behavioral health, supporting individuals with a wide range of nutritional and mental health needs.

Testimonials

After becoming a Registered Dietitian, I began my career in behavioral health, where I had the privilege of supporting individuals across a wide range of mental health and nutrition needs. My experience spans inpatient psychiatric care, residential treatment for children with obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), residential programs for adolescents navigating depression and other mental health challenges, and higher levels of care for individuals recovering from eating disorders, including inpatient, residential, and partial hospitalization programs.

Over the past three years, I have worked closely with clients in one-on-one nutrition counseling, helping individuals navigate recovery, rebuild trust with food, and develop sustainable approaches to nourishment.

Through this work, I advanced to a Clinical Level II Dietitian role and began pursuing my Certified Eating Disorders Specialist (CEDS) credential to further deepen my expertise in eating disorder treatment.

These experiences have shaped my passion for providing compassionate, evidence-based, and weight-inclusive nutrition care that honors each person's unique story, challenges, and goals.
